Actress Karina Bautista opened up about the heartbreak of losing her beloved pet dog, Billy, sharing an emotional tribute and expressing how difficult it has been to cope with his sudden passing.
Former Pinoy Big Brother: Otso housemate Karina Bautista revealed on Instagram that she has been struggling to cope with the death of her pet dog, Billy.
The 24-year-old actress confirmed the heartbreaking news on May 29, sharing an emotional farewell message for her beloved furbaby.
In her post, Karina said Billy's passing happened unexpectedly.
“Gone too soon, but I am so lucky to have met you in this lifetime.
“Thank you for taking care of Mama. Thank you for loving me with a kind of love that was so pure, so simple, and so unconditional. You gave me so much joy, so much comfort, and so many reasons to smile, and my heart breaks knowing you're gone.
“It all happened so suddenly. I wasn't ready. I don't think I ever could have been.”
Karina, who affectionately referred to Billy as her “anak,” admitted that the coming days would be difficult as she mourns the loss of her loyal companion.
“I pray that you're happy now, free from all the sickness and pain. I hope you're eating all your favorite food, running as much as you want, playing fetch every day, and making new friends wherever you are.
“You did your best, anak. I'm so proud of you. You were always such a good boy, right until the very end. Even in your hardest moments, you were still thinking of Mama.”
The Kapamilya star also shared the little things she would miss most about Billy.
“I will miss your little footsteps, your snoring, your stubbornness, your excitement over food, your cuddles, your presence. I will miss everything about you.
“Mama loves you always. Mama will miss you for the rest of her life. God, ikaw na po bahala kay Billy. Please hold him close for me until we meet again.”

Following an outpouring of support from friends, fans, and fellow celebrities, Karina expressed her gratitude to everyone who sent messages of comfort and condolences.
“Thank you to everyone who has sent their prayers, condolences, and kind messages for Billy.
“It's been really hard, but reading your messages and seeing how much love you all had for him has brought me so much comfort. I never realized just how many people loved my little boy too.”
Although she is still grieving, Karina said the overwhelming support has helped ease her pain and reminded her that she is not alone.
“I'm sorry if I haven't been able to reply to everyone. I'm still trying to process everything and take things one day at a time. But please know that I've read your messages, cried over many of them, and appreciated every prayer and kind word. Thank you for helping me get through one of the most heartbreaking moments of my life.
“One day at a time, I'll learn how to carry this grief. Until then, thank you for helping me feel a little less alone.”
