Katrina Halili

Katrina Halili looked back on her early showbiz career in a trending video titled 'Mom, what were you like in the 2000s?', where she shared her memories of joining 'StarStruck' and taking on some of her most well-known villain roles.

Katrina Halili recently took a nostalgic trip down memory lane in a trending video titled “Mom, what were you like in the 2000s?”, where she revisited some of the most defining moments of her early showbiz career.

The video opened with clips showing her as a contestant in the first season of StarStruck (2003), which helped launch her career on Philippine television.

Among the highlights she recalled were her standout kontrabida roles in fantasy projects, including Black Darna and Serpina—two of the most recognizable villains in the Darna universe. She also looked back on her iconic characters, Angelika Santibañez from Marimar and Juno from Majika. These roles cemented her reputation as one of the most compelling antagonists on local TV during the 2000s.

Katrina has shown she's more than just a kontrabida. While she became known for her villain roles, she has also proven she can be a compelling protagonist especially in maternal roles in hit GMA series such as Prima Donnas, Unica Hija, and Mommy Dearest. In these drama projects, she took on more grounded, emotional characters, further showcasing her versatility as an actress.

Meanwhile, Katrina is set to portray the mother of Anton Vinzon in the upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime series Kamao.
