Kamao actress Katrina Halili added another award to her collection after winning her first Best Actress award at the 2026 World Class Excellence Japan Awards held last Thursday, June 18, at the Heritage Hotel in Pasay City.

Celebrating its milestone 10th anniversary, the prestigious World Class Excellence Japan Awards recognizes exceptional global professionals and performing artists for their outstanding industry contributions.

The award recognizes Katrina's exceptional talent for her performance as Emma in the former GMA Afternoon Prime series Mommy Dearest.

In an Instagram post celebrating her victory, the Kapuso actress dedicated the award not only to herself but also to everyone who continues to believe in her and inspires her to hone her acting craft. This win marks the first Best Actress award of her career.

“First Best Actress Award mula sa World Class Excellence Japan Awards. Isang malaking karangalan po ito para sa akin bilang artista at bilang isang taong patuloy na nagsisikap na pagbutihin ang aking craft,” Katrina wrote in the caption.

Katrina also expressed her gratitude to the Almighty, her family, friends, industry colleagues, and loyal fans.

A key highlight of her thank-you message went to her ex-partner, Kris Lawrence, who is currently courting her again; and their daughter Katie, both of whom she credited for supporting her journey.

“Maraming salamat sa aking pamilya, mga kaibigan, management ,mga nakatrabaho ko sa industriya, at sa lahat ng sumusuporta sa akin KKKFam, KKKTeam, Kris Lawrence & Katie sa bawat hakbang ng aking journey. Higit sa lahat, salamat sa Diyos sa gabay at mga biyayang natatanggap ko,” she expressed.

The actress also dedicated her award to the people who endlessly believe in her and continue to offer their unwavering support. She concluded her post by thanking the award-giving body for choosing her for the honor.

“Ang parangal na ito ay hindi lamang para sa akin, kundi para sa lahat ng naniwala at patuloy na naniniwala sa akin. Maraming maraming salamat po, at mabuhay ang World Class Excellence Japan Awards!” said Katrina.

Joining the roster of winners were Angel Guardian, who secured the Best Actress in a TV Series award for her performance in Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre, and Rio Locsin, who snagged the Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series trophy for her role in The Master Cutter.
