Singer Katrina Velarde just found the person who will complete her heart anew.
Asia's Vocal Supreme Katrina Velarde is ready to fall in love again and expressed how thankful she is for having the opportunity to do so after her husband passed away months after they got married.
In a series of posts on Instagram, Katrina showed a picture of her and the man who made her fall in love again, despite not being “prepared for [his] arrival.” However, she did not name the man she has fallen in love with, nor tag him in the post.
“Hi, captain and my pilot in command. You took off so fast and nicely LANDED in my heart and I was NOT prepared for your arrival, but here you are with me right now…” she captioned her post.
The Suklay Diva married her musician boyfriend, Mike Shapiro, in May 2021. However, in November 2021, the singer shocked everyone with the news that her husband has passed away, but did not give any details and requested privacy.
Katrina met her then-husband through singer Gary Valenciano as Mike was the singer's drummer during his US shows and would regularly visit the country whenever international singers Sergio Mendes and Kevin Lettau have concerts in the Philippines.
In her post, Katrina said, “Maraming nawala, pero nung dumating ka mas kinumpleto mo ang lahat. Salamat sayong pagmamahal.”
“Nakangiti na ulit ang aking puso, walang pag aalinlangan at punong puno ng galak, at handang ipakilala ka sa lahat. I thank God that he allows me to fall in love again,” she added.
She ended her post by saying, “It's not afam is life, it's your love that is life.”
Friends, fans and netizens, meanwhile, extended their congratulations to the singer and expressed how happy they are and how she deserves the happiness brought by new love.
