K-pop-inspired global girl group KATSEYE is still coming to terms with their historic Grammy nomination, a milestone that has sparked an outpouring of emotion from the members following the announcement.

"It makes me wanna jump up and down—it's honestly insane to think that we got nominated, that's crazy,” she said, underscoring the surreal nature of the achievement for the young group.

Beyond the group's collective milestone, the nomination also carries special significance for member Sophia Laforteza, as it makes her the first homegrown Filipina to receive a Grammy nomination, It's an achievement that marks a proud moment for Filipino representation on the global music stage.

Sophia's parents, Chef Godfrey Laforteza and theater actress Carla Guevarra Laforteza, also expressed their support and pride in their daughter's achievement.

Meanwhile, Leon Barreto, one of Sophia's close friends, shared how proud he is of her, describing her journey toward her dream as deeply inspiring.
