The Miss Eco International First Runner-up thanked her many fans for their unwavering support since day one.

Kapuso actress Kelley Day made the Philippines proud after she recently bagged the first runner-up title at the Miss Eco International competition last Easter Sunday, April 4.

Despite not winning the coveted crown, the Filipino-British beauty shared how proud she's gone in the competition.

On Instagram, she even expressed her gratitude to her many supporters for their overwhelming love and support for her throughout the competition.

“Your Miss Eco International 1st Runner Up!” Kelley introduced herself.

“My first international pageant and what an experience it has been. I'm extremely touched by all the support and wonderful messages I have been receiving from all of you. Philippines, this was all for you. Especially those who stayed up 'til 5 a.m. to watch the coronation night live.”

She continued, “I also want to say a HUGE thank you to the Miss Eco International Organisation for the opportunities, experiences, and memories.

“And thank you also to my team who prepared me for EVERYTHING -- I wouldn't have come this far without any of you.

“I LOVE YOU ALL! #PhilippinePride #ForThePhilippines.”

Many celebrities and personalities also congratulated the 24-year-old Tarlac native for her win and the pride she's given for the country, including former Miss Eco International herself Thia Thomalla, fashion models Maureen Wroblewitz and Chelsea Robato, actor Addy Raj, and so much more.

On April 4, it was South Africa's Gizzelle Uys who won the title, with Venezuela, United States, and Costa Rica following Kelley.

During the question and answer portion, the Pinay beauty queen was asked how she would promote safety and harmony in schools where violence is prevalent.

She answered, “This is a really serious topic, and I'm really passionate about our generation to come because they are the most important, and they are the ones who are going to fix the mess that we have made in the environment and with violence too.

“Unfortunately, as the world is going through a lot of changes right now there is violence and the best thing we can do right now is improve the security of the school. There has to be things like security checks or metal detectors because that's all we can do right now and share the word.

“As I'm standing here on the stage I have the opportunity to tell anyone that is planning to do something to children, to stop. Look after our generation, please. Thank you.”

Earlier in the pageant, Kelley bagged the Best in National Costume award for her stunning Maria Clara-inspired dress created for her by Filipino designer Louis Pangilinan.
