Kelvin Miranda and Kira Balinger finally addressed rumors about their relationship during the grand media conference for their movie, Chances Are, You and I, on Monday, May 13.

The two young actors clarified that no romantic relationship happened between them, and any affectionate behavior the public might have observed was solely for the portrayal of their respective characters.

Kelvin confessed that because of his dedication at work, he became confused about his true feelings for Kira. Nevertheless, the Kapuso actor reiterated that there was no romance between them.

"Yes, confused ako sa reality--kung totoo ba lahat ng nararamdaman ko or is it just because of my character. I don't know, pero isa lang 'yung gusto ko linisin sa isyu na ito. Alam din ni Kira, hindi po kami naging kami, para linawin po ang isyu. Wala pong ligawan nangyari," Kelvin explained.

The Kapuso star also admitted that during the filming of their movie, he felt a certain 'magic' between him and Kira as they became close to each other. However, Kelvin clarified that it had been a long time since he felt anything for his co-star.

He further explained, "Wala pong... hindi kami natuloy, wala kaming relasyon, whatsoever, kung ano man ang iniisip niyo."

Kira added that as actors, it's natural to tap into their emotions to bring their characters to life. She emphasized that it takes courage to display genuine emotions and vulnerability on screen.

"Kami po, sa aming actors, if you are a good actor, magiging totoo talaga yung nararamdaman namin kasi kung ganoon kadali 'yung trabaho namin, e, 'di kahit sino po makakapag-acting, makakagawa ng movie. But it really takes a lot of guts to use your true emotions, to show that, to be vulnerable sa lahat ng cast [and] sa lahat ng production," she said.

The Kapamilya actress also explained, "With Kelvin's personality and his character and, you know, the nature of our work, beautiful love story, (and) nangyari it just happens. Something happened and before we even know it... Pero we didn't let that affect the quality of our work. We didn't let that affect our working relationship, so I think that's what really matters."

But when Kira was asked if she felt something for Kelvin during the movie, she confessed, "Meron kaunti, siyempre. Very charming naman si Kelvin and like I said a while ago, nature of our movie was a love story. We have to interact in such a way na nakaka-fall talaga."

Their rumored relationship began when Kelvin's ex-girlfriend revealed his supposed sweet conversation with Kira online.

Last year, the Kapamilya actress clarified the said rumor. In a previous interview with PEP.ph, she stated, "Hindi po ako naging third wheel. Kung ano man po 'yung naging usapan nila ng ex niya, out na po ako doon."
