'Meteor Garden' star Ken Chu is heartbroken over the death of their dearest Barbie Hsu, who played the role of Shancai in the Taiwanese drama.
The beginning of the week is shrouded with sadness as beloved Meteor Garden actress Barbie Hsu has passed away at the age of 48.
Barbie played the iconic role of Shancai in Meteor Garden, which was based on a Japanese manga titled “Hana Yori Dango.”
In the series, Jerry Yan played Dao Ming Si, the love interest of Shancai. Other actors who were part of this hugely popular Asianovela include Vic Zhou, Vanness Wu, and Ken Chu.
With the news of Barbie's death, Ken took to his Instagram page to remember his co-star. In his post via Instagram Story, he posted a black image and then posted a throwback photo of the cast of Meteor Garden.
Many Pinoy fans also took to social media to mourn the death of Barbie Hsu. Meteor Garden aired in the Philippines in 2003.
