On the set of My Husband’s Lover, GMANetwork.com caught up with Kevin Santos a.k.a. Danny and asked him about his convincing portrayal and how he prepares for this demanding role

On the set of My Husband’s Lover, GMANetwork.com caught up with Kevin Santos a.k.a. Danny, Eric’s (Dennis Trillo) best friend. We asked him about his convincing portrayal and how he prepares for this demanding role.

“Actually, binabasa ko kasi iyong buong script. Inaalam ko iyong istorya. Inaalam ko kung saan ako at paano ko siya i-aatake. Mga lines, iyong eksena. At saka nagworkshop din ako.”

This is not the first time that Kevin is playing a gay role. How is this different from his previous roles? “Maraming times ko ng nagawa itong role na ito, pero iba-iba kasi sila eh. I mean, like before, dito lang kasi iyong pinaka-gay pero seryoso. Iyong sa mga past roles ko, parang wild. Tapos minsan, cross dresser pa,” he recalls.

A lot of viewers also commended the rapport of Kevin and Dennis Trillo on screen. Kevin attributed this to the fact that they had known each other for some time and has even worked in a few projects together.

“Si Dennis matagal ko na kasi siyang kasama since Darna pa. Tapos sa Bubble Gang, nagkikita rin kami. Matagal na kaming magkasama ni Dennis. Sobrang sarap and kumportable katrabaho. As in, wala akong masasabi. Talagang pag trabaho, trabaho,” he proudly reveals.

With the success of My Husband’s Lover how does he feel about the tremendous support they are getting from social media and the viewers of the show. “Mas lalo kaming gaganahan magtrabaho kapag iyong mga tao nandiyan sila para sumuporta sa amin.”

Before ending the interview we asked Kevin what would he like to play after his role as Danny, “Parang gusto ko na lang is iyong hindi ko [pa] nagagawa— leading man. Duon ako machachallenge. Iyong parang love team, kasi iyon pa iyong di ko nagagawa”

And guess who he wants to work with as a love team?
