Kiefer Ravena: “These past few days have been dirty and ugly.”
Basketball star Kiefer Ravena issued a statement to clarify the fake news and malicious rumors circulating about his separation from Creamline volleyball player Alyssa Valdez.
Last May 2022, Alyssa's talent management VMG Asia confirmed that the volleyball icon and Kiefer have parted ways.
"A lot of speculation has been made. We appreciate the concern, but this decision does not involve any other party. Let us avoid making up stories & spreading false rumors. We hope that everyone can respect Alyssa's decision to keep things private.”
Two months later, Kiefer wanted to clarify certain things and posted his statement via Instagram Story on Friday, August 5.
"It's time to put a halt to it. Alyssa released a statement in May regarding our separation last January. We both agreed to move on peacefully and we respect each other's decisions."
The Gilas Pilipinas member denied that he's dating someone now. Kiefer stated, "Rumors that I am dating anyone right now are completely false and hurtful, especially to those who have been unwittingly dragged into this issue.
“However, family, friends, acquittances, and a lot of innocent names have been dragged into this issue and their reputations stained.”
He added, “I've made mistakes in the past but I've learned from those mistakes. But these still do not give anybody the right to bash others.”
Alyssa and Kiefer dated for six years before calling it quits in January 2022.
