Kim Domingo implied that she has not been in a relationship since her last romance that ended over a year ago.

In an Instagram post, the actress related that she finds it hard to commit in a relationship since she was already used to being self-sufficient.
“People who have been single for too long are the hardest to love.
"They have become so used to being single, independent and self-sufficient that it takes something extraordinary to convince them that they need you in their life,” she posted on Instagram.
In July 2019, her three-year romance with ex-boyfriend basketball player Mike Acuña ended.

Meanwhile, Kim recently stated her aspiration to be noticed for her talent in acting rather than her sexy image.
She said, “'Yung desisyon ko na 'yun, hindi naman siya 'yung tipong biglaan. Inunti-unti ko 'yun sa sarili ko.
"Ako mismo talaga, talagang pinakialaman ko 'yung sarili ko, na parang wala muna akong sinabi na, 'Uy, ano ah, titigil muna ako sa pagpapa-sexy."
"Sinimulan ko siya sa sarili ko. Una diyan 'yung hindi na ako masyadong nagpo-pose ng mga sexy. Napansin ninyo 'yun, 'di ba?"
"Naisip ko kasi na parang hindi na ako masaya sa ganon. Parang 'di na ako happy na 'yung mga tao 'yun na 'yung tingin sa akin."
Kim also said that she wants to follow the footsteps of award-winning actress Jaclyn Jose, who started as a sexy actress before she became one of the most acclaimed Filipino actors in Philippine showbiz.
