According to a Taiwanese media outlet, Soo-hyun could face a major lawsuit from convenience store chain 7-Eleven.

Months after the controversy between Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron first surfaced, the situation has intensified, resulting in major damages for the South Korean actor.

The shocking allegation that Soo-hyun dated Sae-ron when she was still a minor has led to significant repercussions, including the withdrawal of several brand endorsements.

According to a Taiwanese media outlet, Soo-hyun could face a major lawsuit from convenience store chain 7-Eleven, which is reportedly pursuing legal action over losses caused by a canceled partnership.

The Queen of Tears actor reportedly signed a contract to launch a merchandise line with the company and was slated to appear at the Kaohsiung cherry blossom festival last March.

However, amid the ongoing controversy with Sae-ron, the convenience store chain canceled the merchandise release, and Soo-hyun reportedly withdrew from the festival just five days before the event.

As a result, the convenience store chain in Taiwan is said to be seeking damages totaling about NT$130 million (around $4.3 million).

In response to the swirling controversy, Soo-hyun recently filed a defamation lawsuit against Sae-ron's family and the YouTube channel HoverLab Inc., also known as Garosero Research Institute.

Along with his agency, Gold Medalist, he is seeking damages amounting to 12 billion won (around $8.6 million).
