South Korean actor Kim Soo-Hyun is at the center of controversy amid allegations that he was romantically involved with the late actress Kim Sae-Ron.
On Monday, March 10, the YouTube channel Hoverlab released a video alleging that Soo-hyun dated Sae-ron when she was 15, citing statements from her bereaved family.
Soo-Hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, has strongly denied all claims, calling them "baseless" and "completely false." The agency also warned of possible legal action.
The controversy intensified after Garosero Research Institute released an unseen photograph of Soo-Hyun kissing Sae-Ron on the cheek, images of handwritten letters and a screenshot of a message the late actress allegedly sent to him.

As the controversy continues to unfold, netizens have noticed that Sae-ron's death occurred on Soo-Hyun's birthday, February 16, and the actor was reportedly absent from her funeral.
Social media reactions surged as Soo-Hyun's latest Instagram post amassed over 193,000 comments, with many criticizing him and calling for a boycott.
Reports revealed that the actor's ongoing 18+ brand deals are facing issues. K2, Shabu All Day, and Homeplus have reportedly removed his appearances from their official homepages and brand SNS.
He was also reportedly not joining the next filming for G-DRAGON's #GoodDay.

To clarify the situation, Gold Medalist released a brief statement to media outlets on Thursday, March 13, announcing that they will "release a full-length statement based on factual evidence next week."
"We apologize for causing the public discomfort with our delayed response," the agency added. "Please understand that this decision is intended to dismiss the rampant spread of one-sided claims. Thank you."
Gold Medalist previously managed Sae-ron. She was found dead at her home in Seoul on February 16 at the age of 24.
