Universal Records Philippines officially welcomed its new and dynamic Filipino hip-hop duo, King Badger and Emcee Rhenn, marking a new chapter for the two artists to showcase their talent as a pair.

On Monday, February 3, 2026, King Badger and Emcee Rhenn signed with the music group at its office in Quezon City alongside executives: Executive Vice President Ramon Chuaying, Managing Director Kathleen Dy-Go, Operations Manager Peter Chan, Marketing Sales Director Mark Sablan, and Thea Gomez-Pollisco, CEO of Asintada Management and Production Inc.

Executives Ramon and Kathleen both delivered welcome messages for the two artists.

“We welcome King Badger and Emcee Rhenn to the family. Salamat Asintada, Ms. Thea sa tiwala. We're happy and excited to put out their new song. Welcome!” Kathleen said during the event.

“We are very glad that the two known artists are now joining our company Universal Records. These two don't need introduction, napakasikat na nila,” said Ramon.

Following the contract signing, King Badger and Emcee Rhenn also shared their own messages of gratitude.

Speaking at the event, they also confirmed that they are already working on upcoming projects for 2026.

“Thank you Universal [Records Philippines], ma'am Thea; napaka-excited na po namin para gawin po talaga 'to, kasi nabuburo na po 'yung mga ginawa namin so ito na po 'yung time para ilabas siya,” Emcee Rhenn said.

“I just wanna say thank you sa lahat ng pumunta rito right now, and thank you rin po Universal [Records Philippines] for giving us another chance to put out good music out there; and yes, sobrang excited po naming ilabas 'yung mga nakatago po naming mga kanta,” said King Badger.

In an exclusive sit-down with GMANetwork.com, the two teased their plans lined up for the year under their new music label.

“Sa ngayon may ginagawa kami na marami, tapos may mga part na matutulungan kami ng UR [Universal Records Philippines] na sila ang mag-handle ng mga bagay na 'yon at mag-asikaso no'n. Mas marami kaming time na magbigay ng oras sa ginagawa namin sa music,” Emcee Rhenn shared.

“Abangan na lang po nila 'yung mga ire-release namin,” Emcee Rhenn added.

“Marami na siya, halo-halo siya, melodic tapos rap. So ngayon, mas maluwag ngayon 'yung space namin para sa isang kanta kasi dalawa lang kami. Mas na-explore namin siya, pero abangan na lang,” King said.

With their powerful presence and sharp storytelling through music, King Badger and Emcee Rhenn are set to introduce a fresh, dynamic chemistry to the local hip-hop scene.
