In the second week of 'King Maker: The Change of Destiny,' Choi Chun Joong and Lee Bong Ryun met each other again after five years.
Chun Joong chased after Bong Ryun when she tried running off, he later found out that she was a princess.
In a face reading ceremony, Chun Joong was told he will be renowned and will become a high ranking official someday. The fortune-teller also said his soulmate is nearby and is of royalty.
An older fortune-teller, who is also a friend of Chun Joong's father, interrupted the ceremony and told Chun Joong that he will soon experience failure and will lose his soulmate. He will also have a big decision to make. But Chun Joong dismissed both readings.
Chun Joong received a letter from Bong Ryun, asking him to meet her alone. He agreed to help Bong Ryun with the catastrophe she had foreseen.
Chun Joong's father told him about the request of the Kim Jangdong clan for him and the princess to be married. His father asked him to train with the monk for a while, but he refused to leave.
Later on, Chun Joong discovered the explosives in the ship and a man tried to kill him as he fired a flaming arrow at Chun Joong while he was on the ship.
The ship that had just sailed exploded as Chun Joong and Bong Ryun were getting married. Chun Joong's father was arrested, which eventually led to his death. Bong Ryun also had to make a difficult choice in an attempt to save both her mother and Chun Joong. Meanwhile, an old fortune-teller was arrested after he tried to steal the jewelry being thrown in the river during a ceremony.
In Gyoo visited Bong Ryun only for her to turn him down. Rejected, he tried to insult her but Bong Ryun fought back and told him he will never accept her.
