Kapuso actress Klea Pineda is leaving for Saipan, USA on Sunday, December 10, to compete in the 11th Asian Supermodel Contest.

Before her trip, she met up with Miss Universe 2013 third runner-up Ariella Arida for a few pointers.

"[She said], be confident lagi and positive. Have fun and always be camera ready! Parang may laban every day, and since it's a modelling competition, wear clothes daw na fashionable,” the StarStruck graduate shared.

Klea is, of course, proud to represent the country in this kind of competition. She will be joined by contestants from Taiwan, Mongolia, Japan, Korea, China, Uzbekistan, Thailand, India, Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Russia, and New Zealand.

She quips, "?I feel so blessed and honored to be chosen and trusted to represent our country! Of course, I'm a bit nervous too since it's my first time to go out of the country for such a competition but I'm more excited for all the challenges and adventures I'll be having! I can't wait! This is probably one of the best highlights of my 2017!??"
