
Fans around the world feel heartbroken after Irish rock band Kodaline announced their disbandment.
In an emotional Instagram post, the band shared a heartfelt video featuring clips from their past performances alongside their announcement.
“After over a decade together, we've made a difficult decision to say goodbye to Kodaline,” they collectively narrated. “We know this might come as a surprise, and it's definitely bittersweet for us, too. What we've shared with you has changed our lives forever.”
Before parting ways, the band revealed on preparing one final gift for their fans.
"We want to end on a high. So before we say goodbye we're heading into the studio one last time to record our 5th and final album as Kodaline," they added.
Kodaline ended the message with gratitude, "We are, and always will be, forever grateful for your love and support. It's been a journey that we will never forget, and we hope the music stays with you long after we're gone."
Fans quickly filled the comment section with emotional tributes and supportive words, expressing sadness and surprise over the announcement.
Kodaline is an Irish rock band composed of members Steve Garrigan, Vincent (Vinny) May, Mark Prendergast, and Jason (Jay) Boland. They're known for their hits such as "All I want," "Brother," "High hopes," and "The One."
The band previously performed in Manila at the Wanderland Music and Arts Festival in 2018, and solo concerts in 2019 and 2023.
