Actress Gong Hyo-jin and singer Kevin Oh are reportedly married!
Korean actress Gong Hyo-jin and singer Kevin Oh have tied the knot in New York!
The actress shared a sneak peek into her wedding, hours before the ceremony.
"My one and only...I'm ready!" she wrote in a post partly showing her wedding dress and the sneakers and red socks she has taken off.
The ceremony was held in a private event hall on the morning of October 12th in Korean time, which is October 11th in New York time, according to actress's agency Management SOOP.
Gong Hyo-jin's best friends Jung Ryeo-won and Uhm Ji-won will attend the wedding according to reports.
The couple started dating publicly in April 2022. In August 2022, Kevin announced in a letter posted on social media that he is marrying Gong Hyo-jin in October.
"Two years ago, I met a girl. Our love was full--yes, daunting at times--but we proved to each other that we need each other. I've met my best friend for life, my soulmate. And soon, I'll be able to call her my wife.
"This fall, we will be getting married quietly in my hometown. I know I'm stealing away an actress who's received a great deal of love in Korea, and perhaps it would be more fitting to hold the ceremony publicly here in Seoul. But for selfish reasons, I wanted to celebrated in the presence of my family. I hope you understand.
Ä new start to both my life and my music. Let's do our best to live our best life, together. Thank you!" Kevin Oh said in his letter.
43-year-old Gong Hyo-jin is one of the most acclaimed actresses in South Korea, having starred in hit dramas including Master's Sun, It's Okay, That's Love, The Producers, When Camellia Blooms, Don't Date to Dream, and Greatest Love.
Meanwhile, 32-year-old Kevin Oh was born in the US and educated in prestigious Dartmouth College, majoring in the Department of Economics and Theater. He was a winner of singing show Superstar K7 and has released an EP titled Stardust.
