Despite the long battle with her condition, Kris Aquino is looking healthier in her recent photos.

Kris Aquino is looking much healthier as fans and other celebrities noted a noticeable weight gain during her recovery.

In photos shared by Batangas vice governor Mark Leviste on Instagram on December 3, Tuesday, Kris is seen with a smile, bonding with her long-time friend and her sons, Josh and Bimby.

“Spending the first day of the year with the Queen,” Mark captioned his post.

Fans, meanwhile, expressed their relief at seeing the Queen of All Media looking and getting better.

“Good to see you again Miss Kris. You're looking good. Happy new year. May you completely healed soonest,” a netizen commented.

“Glad to see Miss Kris in good spirits. Thank you vice for sharing some pictures of her. Get well soon Miss Kris Happy New Year Vice Mark & Miss Kris,” Another one said in the comments.

“So happy to see u Miss Kris. Praying pra sa tuloy tuloy mong recovery. Really miss your talk shows and want so much to see you hosting,” one netizen said.

Meanwhile, entertainment reporter and talent manager Ogie Diaz also noticed her weight gain.

“Mabisa ang dasal ng mga nagmamahal sa kanya, so keep on praying!,” he said in a Facebook post.

Kris is currently in the US to seek treatment for her erosive gastritis and gastric ulcer apart from the four autoimmune conditions she was diagnosed with.

On Christmas eve, the actress and TV host gave an update about her health and treatments. In an Instagram post, she revealed that she will be starting with immunotherapy treatment, one that uses similar medicines as chemotherapy at a lower cost.

“Gusto kong mag THANK YOU sa inyong lahat who still keep me, my sons, and my sisters & their families back home in your prayers,” she said in her post.

Kris also thanked people from the BPO industry for wishing her well and for her speedy recovery despite knowing that the call is being recorded.

“We may be an ocean apart, BUT it matters so much to know that many of you who don't even know me or my sons personally, care enough to remember us & want me to win this seemingly endless battle with my autoimmune conditions,” she said.
