Kris Aquino recently opened up about a terrifying medical procedure that almost cost her life.
In an Instagram post, the Queen of All Media shared her gratitude for the prayers she received, reflecting on her near-death experience.
“THANK YOU for continuing to pray for me to get better, for having FAITH that God will make all things possible,” she wrote.
What was supposed to be a minor PICC line procedure turned into one of the scariest moments of her life, as her lung temporarily stopped functioning and she stopped breathing for almost two minutes.
“I credit my anesthesiologist, my 2 surgeons, and as soon as I awakened, the reassuring face of my rheumatologist, whose concern & love I felt,” she shared.
Kris also recalled a touching moment in her post-op recovery room when her son Bimby, whom she called her future pediatrician/neurologist/anesthesiologist, kissed her, helping her realize how much she owed to everyone who supported her.
“We owe all of you my life- utang namin na buhay pa rin ako, the Holy Spirit guided my doctors and everyone in the OR,” she said.
She also shared a part of "Let It Be" that resonated with her experience:
“And when the night is cloudy
There is still a light that shines on me
Shinin' until tomorrow, let it be
I wake up to the sound of music, Mother Mary comes to me,
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be…”
Recently, she announced that her surgery had been delayed due to high blood pressure.
Kris has been open about her ongoing battle with multiple autoimmune conditions. She has undergone various medical procedures in the past to manage her health challenges, drawing strength from her sons, Bimby and Josh.
