Kris Lawrence and Katrina Halili are in the courting stage, Boy Abunda confirms.
Could love be sweeter the second time around for Katrina Halili and Kris Lawrence?
On Wednesday's episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, host Boy Abunda revealed that Kris is officially courting Katrina once again.
The announcement came as Katrina and Angel Guardian were recognized as Best Actress winners at the 10th World Excellence Japan Awards. Katrina received the honor for her role in Mommy Dearest, while Angel was awarded for Encantadia Chronicles.
During her acceptance speech, Katrina thanked the people closest to her, including her daughter Katie and Kris.
"Kabilang sa pinasalamatan ni Katrina ay ang kanyang anak na si Katie, at si Kris Lawrence na official nang nanliligaw muli sa kanya," Tito Boy shared on the program.
Reacting to the development, the veteran host encouraged the pair to share updates when the time is right.
"Dapat 'pag medyo meron nang linaw ang balita eh kayo'y dumalaw sa amin dito," Tito Boy said.
Fans have been delighted to see Katrina and Kris grow closer again over the past months. Earlier this year, the former couple vacationed together in El Nido following Katrina's birthday celebration. Joining them were Katie and Kris' son, Lyric.
In a vlog released in February, Kris said he remained open to the possibility of rekindling a romantic relationship with Katrina if both of them were still single 10 years from now.
The two also previously appeared on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, where they opened up about how they were able to repair their relationship after going through a difficult chapter in their lives.
Katrina gave birth to Katie in 2012. She and Kris eventually separated in 2014.
Despite their breakup, the former couple maintained a healthy co-parenting relationship. In 2023, Katrina spoke about their setup and said that they were doing well as friends.
Now, with Kris officially courting Katrina once again, many fans are hopeful that the pair may be writing a new chapter in their story.
