Only three days left until the coronation night of the Miss Grand Philippines pageant, and now the organization has announced the hosts that will be handling the momentous event.
In two of the more recent posts on its official Instagram account, the Miss Grand Philippines organization announced that current reigning Miss World Asia Krishnah Gravidez and actor and former Mister Bulacan Drei Arias will be hosting the Miss Grand Philippines coronation night.
The coronation night for the 2025 Miss Grand Philippines pageant will be held on August 24 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
The Miss Grand Philippines organization recently held the pageant's preliminary night last August 17 at the Okada Manila Grand Ballroom, where the 29 delegates competing for the Miss Grand Philippines crown competed in the culture costume, swimsuit, and evening gown preliminary competitions.
The creative culture costumes the delegates had on took inspiration from Filipino pop culture, ranging from celebrities, television shows, movies, and iconography. Some familiar costumes include characters from the Kapuso Network shows Encantadia and Sang'gre, as well as GMA's 2009 show Darna.
The top six of the creative culture costume category were Miss Grand Pangasinan Angelica Joy Flores, Miss Grand Quezon City Nikki Buenafe, Miss Grand Taguig City Michelle Arceo, Miss Grand Zambales Anita Rose Gomez, Miss Grand Pampanga Emma Mary Tiglao, and Miss Grand Nueva Ecija Alyssa Geronimo.
Special awards were also handed out during the preliminary night. Winners include Miss Grand Pampanga Emma Mary Tiglao, who won Miss Mestiza, Miss Nutriexpert, and Miss Regroe; Miss Grand Bicolandia Margarette Britton was named Miss Hairflix, and Miss Grand Zambales Anita Rose Gomes was named Miss Megan Beauty.
The 29 delegates are competing to succeed the current reigning Miss Grand International Philippines CJ Opiaza, who was recently named the 2024 Miss Grand International.
CJ will definitely be a hard act to follow as her performance was praised by Miss Grand Philippines franchise holder Arnold Vegafria, who emphasized the hard work that CJ put in towards repairing the relationship between Miss Grand International president Nawat Itsaragrisil and the Filipino fandom, writing that she “put an end to the misunderstanding and unwanted hatred.”
