Kapuso actor Kristoffer Martin spent Father's Day as one of the finishers of the Century Tuna Ironman 70.3!
After months of training, Kristoffer set a personal record and dedicated the win to his family.
On his Instagram account, the actor shared a video of him crossing the finish line were he received a medal and a banner declaring him a finisher of the race.
"How I celebrated Father's day.
"70.3 Finisher! PR tayo 6:19:43.
"This is for my family na nandon kanina and sa lahat ng nagbantay sa IronMan Tracker.
"Love you love, @acbanzooon. Thank you
"@brooksrunningph we did it again! Next, Cebu!" his caption read.
Kristoffer considers finishing the race a huge reward.
"Eto yung reward nung months ng training. Thank you Lord. Ikaw palagi nagtatawid sakin sa finish line," he wrote on another post on Instagram.
"Sabi nga nila kahit yearly mo gawin yung IronMan 70.3, di ka masasanay kasi di laging parehas yung feeling. Laging iba yung challenge. Totoo. Sobrang unfamiliar nung feeling kanina kahit nagawa ko na siya last year. Pero mas masaya akong kumarera ngayon. Nakukuha ko pang magpatawa nung run na. Inenjoy ko lang talaga. Walang expectations at all. Gusto ko lang kumarera. Bonus na nakapag PR tayo kahit sumobra ng almost 5k yung bike course. Thank you Lord. All you," he continued.
He also took time to express gratitude to his family who not only supported him during the months of training, but were also present at the race.
"Thank you sa asawa ko dahil kasama ko siyang magpagod sa race day. Sa inyo din Josh, Issie and Tin. Sa parents ko na gumising din ng maaga para suportahan ako. And of course, kay Pretyut (his daughter Precious) na nangibabaw yung sigaw kanina kaya ginanahan ako lalo," his caption read.
Kristoffer also gave a special shoutout to his team who supervised his training.
"Coach @keb.eijansantos salamat kasi kahit alam mong di ko masyadong matutukan training load, equipped pa rin tayong kumarera kanina.
"Thank you @brooksrunningph sa pagpush and pagsupport sakin palagi sa mga gantong races. Kayo nagpupush ng limits ko.
"Sa aking team @enduratriteam, congraaats sating finishers! And sa support ng mga di lumaro. Solid tayo lahat!," he wrote.
Kristoffer then shared a few highlights from the race in another short video on Instagram.
The Century Tuna Ironman 70.3 was held in Subic Bay on June 15.
