Cebu has become a COVID-19 hotspot, and Kryz Uy and Slater Young are appealing for help.

Social media influencers and content creators Kryz Uy and Slater Young took a break from their usual posts to call for blood plasma donations in Cebu.

In recent weeks, Cebu saw a rise of COVID-19-positive cases in the city. It has long overtaken Quezon City with the most number of infections of the new coronavirus disease. Its highest single-day count recorded at least 353 new cases on June 30.

The unfaltering increase in COVID-19 cases has also alarmed Kryz and Slater who reside in the said city and so, they decided to use their platform to appeal for help.

“If you're in Cebu and you've survived COVID-19, the doctors need your help. Our frontliners you're your help. The people who are sick need your help. They're calling on those survivors to donate their plasma so that they can find ways on how it can be used to help,” Slater explained.

The couple ended their video with a list of contact numbers people can reach for their donations and additional help.
