Kuya Kim Atienza remembered his late daughter, Emman Atienza, for her boundless compassion for animals and kindness toward people.
Kuya Kim Atienza has continued to honor his late daughter Emman Atienza with pride.
In an Instagram post, the TV host shared childhood photos of Emman with various animals, along with a photo of his wife, Felicia Atienza, to highlight Emman's love for animals.
“Emman always showed kindness, even to the animals,” he began.
“While her mom Feli was looking through her things, she found Emman's old diary with a small note lovingly scribbled inside: “Motto: Don't shop….. ADOPT!!” he shared.
Kuya Kim revealed that animals held a very “special” place in Emman's heart, influenced by both her mother and father, who are animal lovers and advocates.
“From a young age, Emman found pure joy in volunteering at the PAWS shelter. She and her sister Eliana would spend hours caring for our rescues, offering them gentleness, patience, and comfort. “Emman was busy cleaning the cages. She loved just being with the animals,” Feli recalled a sweet memory from a photo of her in the PAWS cattery.”
Kuya Kim added, “Wanting to spread that same love and inspire others, Emman even organized shelter visits for her school with her mom's help so her friends and classmates would feel the same compassion. Among the many animals she cared for and the many “atienza dogs” as she lovingly called their pack, Jumbo, a rescued Aspin, was one of her dearest.”
Kim described Emman as a “true beacon of compassion,” noting how she always showed her strength and embodied the importance of kindness.
He also thanked Emman for being an active advocate and for using her voice to spread kindness.
“Thank you, Emman, for always using your voice for those who had none. Thank you for standing up for what mattered, for helping save lives, and for giving so much love to both people and animals,” he expressed.
“Your compassion continues to ripple outward, touching hearts and inspiring others. You were always so beautiful, gentle, empathetic, and profoundly good. Emman, you will forever live in the hearts of every life you've touched and in every act of kindness your memory continues to inspire,” he concluded his post.
Kuya Kim has continued to show his love for Emman since her passing. Many have also shared messages of kindness and compassion, including celebrities and personalities on social media, in tribute to Emman.
Emman passed away on October 22.
