Kyle Echarri on meeting his relatives: “Such beautiful hearted people that truly love me like their own.”
Kyle Echarri revealed the reason why he traveled alone to Spain.
Kyle, who was born in Orange County, California, was raised by his Cebuano mom Marie and his American dad Joe. Unknown to many, Kyle's family also has roots in Spain so he took the opportunity to personally meet his relatives that he hadn't met before.
Recalling his stay with his long-lost relatives, he said, “The real reason I came alone to Spain was to meet my family I've never connected to before. The Echarri's come from a beautiful town called San Sebastián and I couldn't have been happier to get to know my Tio Abuelo, Tio, Tia, and my primos.”
“Such beautiful hearted people that truly love me like their own. Thank you for taking care of me for the past two days.”
He added, “One thing I could say is Los Echarri son los mismos dondequiera que vayas. So beautiful to be taken care of as family even if we've never met or talked before. Gracias mi familia hasta que te vuelva a ver."
While staying in Barcelona, Kyle also decided to get a special tattoo to remember his late sister Isabella who passed away in April 2023.
Aside from Kyle, other Filipino celebrities with Spanish blood include Marian Rivera, Valeen Montenegro, and Gil Cuerva.
