Kylie Padilla and Aljur Abrenica

“Aishteru,” says Kylie Padilla as she and husband Aljur Abrenica reminisce their trip to Japan in 2016.

Kylie Padilla and Aljur Abrenica took a trip down memory lane as they recalled their very first out of the country trip as a couple back in November 2016.

On Instagram, Aljur posted their throwback pictures taken in Tokyo and said that the trip made him realize how important Kylie was in his life.

“I realized a lot on this trip. I saw our growth individually when it comes to self-love and overcoming past traumas,” he said.

“Our friendship got deeper and became more aware of being grateful for what we have than what we don't.

“Thank you, Mahal, for having me as your partner. It's very rare to find someone like you.”

Kylie and Aljur first began dating in 2011 but split up in 2014.

In November 2016, rumors of the two rekindling their relationship sparked when the couple began posting photos together in the Land of the Rising Sun.

In a vlog uploaded in September, Kylie and Aljur addressed the gossip that revolved around their relationship the first time they became an item.

Kylie confessed, “Actually, nung start ng relationship namin, hindi siya masyadong maganda. Hindi siya naging maganda.

“Strict kasi 'yung tatay ko at ayaw pa niya na magka-boyfriend ako noon. Tapos nung nalaman niya na I was seeing someone, ayun nagkagulo na.

“There were some things na nailabas sa media na ayaw ko sanang ilabas o malaman kasi 'di naman kailangan malaman [ng lahat] kasi it's a private matter pero nalaman pa rin.”

The couple tied the knot on December 11, 2018, and have two sons, Alas Joaquin and Axl Romeo Abrenica.
