Kylie Padilla shared how she keeps Alas and Axl safe while traveling abroad.

Kylie Padilla just shared her super-mom tips as a hands-on mama to her boys, Alas Joaquin and Axl Romeo.

In an Instagram post, the Sang'gre actress revealed how she handles her kids while traveling alone, saying she is simply in “full-on mama mode.”

“Navigating my children's safety above anything else, always thinking 2 steps ahead, making sure that they do not get hungry despite all the walking. Teaching them cleanliness. Being ready 24/7 in how to handle a tantrum, or two at the same time,” she wrote.

Aside from being attentive, the Kapuso actress always chooses to have “meaningful conversations” with her children so she can understand what they are thinking and feeling, emphasizing that their emotions matter too.

“It is not easy, especially with young boys that have so much energy. The secret really is to give them their yes moments. Whenever they have a chance to use up their energy and explode, run, play fight and let them express their emotions as freely as they can,” Kylie shared.

However, during serious moments like moving through train stations and navigating big crowds, she makes sure that the rules are clear to her kids.

“Always, hold onto mama, either on my anti-lost rope secured to my backpack or my arm if I am busy buying tickets or doing something else,” she told her kids.

With the help of her eldest child, Alas, the actress shared that she gave him kuya responsibilities.

“I told him, 'Ikaw kuya ha, so you have to help me with your brother. You must lead when I ask you too.' And he did. He helped me push his own maleta, carry bags, and he watched his brother when he could when my attention was elsewhere,” she said. “And I rewarded his taking responsibility by accompanying him, (even just as solo rider cause takot na ako) to all the roller coasters that he wanted to ride. Hihihi.”

She added that this was her way of encouraging his good behavior, believing that “even parent-child relationships work better when there is visible appreciation for each other's efforts.”

“Axl naman is our forever bunso, but he did his part by just following. There, of course, was that one convo we had about if you get lost, you will never see mama again, and that was a reality they needed to understand so that they learn early on, while traveling, they must listen and be present,” the Kapuso actress shared.
