"I don't want [my brothers] to be recognized as 'kapatid ni Kyline,'" says Kyline Alcantara.
What started as a hobby, Kyline Alcantara turned her passion for gaming into a business as she launched an esports organization named Astra Luna.
In a message to GMANetwork.com, the I Left My Heart in Sorsogon actress shared that the idea of establishing an esports organization came from her brothers.
She said, "Well at first, I don't have any plan kasi for fun lang naman and pampalipas oras lang naman for me 'yung Valorant."
Kyline usually streams her Valorant game on her Facebook page. Valorant is a first-person shooter game that was launched in June 2020.
"Nung marami na akong naging friends sa gaming industry na pro players, they made kuwento about their world. And nakita ko na my brothers are really invested and passionate with their games, and they want to be known as gamers.
"So me and my business partner, out of nowhere, talked about creating a team and having a bootcamp for players or content creators."
Astra Luna is also Kyline's way of helping her brothers in their own careers.
"I really did this for my brothers because I want to help them to start their own careers. Kasi I don't want them to be recognized as 'kapatid ni Kyline.' I know that they are more than that."
