Singer-couple, KZ Tandingan and TJ Monterde donated Php 1M to 'Angat Buhay', a non-governmental organization to provide help for the victims of the recent typhoons, 'Tino' and 'Uwan'.
Several parts of the country were severely devastated by the typhoon disaster. A large number of casualties were reported; along with missing individuals, and huge damage to agriculture and homes.
After their successful 'Sarili Nating Mundo' events around the globe, KZ and TJ decided to donate large amounts of financial aid to Angat Buhay, which was founded and chaired by former Vice President Leni Robredo, to help the typhoon-hit families who were greatly affected by the recent calamity.
“This generous donation was made possible through the overwhelming kindness of our 'kababayans', who contributed during the 'Sarili Nating Mundo' events in Perth, Sydney, and New Zealand, along with the Monterdes' and the 'Sarili Nating Mundo Team's contributions from their tour,” wrote Cornerstone Entertainment, KZ and TJ's talent management, in their caption on their social media post.
Cornerstone also said that the funds were initially intended to support both Visayas and Mindanao. Still, the couple chose to focus first on Visayas due to its severe situation after being hit by typhoon 'Tino.
“They are committed to raising more funds for those affected in Mindanao, recognizing that Visayas is currently in greater need,” Cornerstone added.
Following the 'Sarili Nating Mundo' World Tour, KZ and TJ are set to have another concert with the title 'In Between', which will happen next year, February 6 and 7, 2026. This will be live at The Big Dome and is directed by John Prats.
