Lady Gaga's dog walker, Ryan Fischer, was shot in the chest after he was ambushed outside his home on West Hollywood's Sierra Bonita Avenue as he walked the singer's dogs Koji, Miss Asia, and Gustav.
Surveillance footage released on Wednesday night (US Pacific Time) captured a white sedan pulling up alongside the 30-year-old and two people climbing out of the backseat.
A struggle ensues between Fischer and the two attackers. The dog walker then started calling out for someone to help him as he attempts to protect the dogs from the latter.
Finally, gunshots can be heard, prompting Fischer to scream in pain.
The assailants then took Koji and Gustav before eventually taking off.
Miss Asia, who managed to escape from the dognappers, ran back to Fischer, who was lying on the ground after being shot.
According to reports, Lady Gaga's dog walker was shot in the chest but is expected to survive given that he was still conscious and communicative when they arrived on the scene.
Lady Gaga is said to be distraught over the matter is offering a $500,000 reward for the return of her dogs, “no questions asked,” TMZ reported.
The Los Angeles Police Department has yet to comment on who they believe the attack was targeted.
As of this writing, the criminals are still on the loose, and Fischer is being treated for the incident.
Lady Gaga is known to be a dog lover.
Her dog, Miss Asia, has a number of following on Instagram that even the late Karl Lagerfeld called the bulldog “the most famous dog on the internet.”
In 2015, Lady Gaga announced a line of “fashion, food, and accessories” for canines and that the goal was for it to become a “major luxury brand” and to find “creative and functional ways for pets and their owners to bond.”
Miss Asia even posed with Lady Gaga in her cover of Harper's Bazaar.
At the time, the “Pokerface” singer called the dog an “inspiration.”
“She has really shown me the importance of living in the moment,” she said.
“She is a very romantic and loving animal, and this sort of poetry is what art is all about, I think. Interaction. She loves to sit with me when I record jazz. She never barks or makes noise; she just looks at me with her big ears.”
