Asia's Nightingale Lani Misalucha encountered a pretty massive speed bump during her ongoing United States tour after her couture outfits were stolen from the backseat of her car.
A post shared by Facebook user Amore Entertainment on the DC/MD/VA Filipino Americans Facebook page provided details on the robbery of couture costumes created by Filipino fashion designer Oliver Tolentino.
According to the post, Lani and her entourage were having a late meal at a restaurant in Las Vegas after coming back from a sold-out show at the Pala Casino Spa Resort in California. When they returned to the car, they found the back window smashed and thousands of dollars worth of couture gone, along with some equipment, and clothing that Oliver Tolentino made for Nonoy Zuniga, who Lani is touring with, were stolen.
The post quotes the fashion designer as saying that the clothes are replaceable and that he was glad no one was hurt and that both Lani and her husband Noli are safe.
Oliver Tolentino also said that Lani was at least able to use the clothes for all of the shows in the United States aside from the final one to be held this Saturday at Bally's Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He is also quoted as saying that Lani “looked beautiful in the clothes and sang beautifully.”
The designer also came to Lani's rescue by completing a new gown for the songstress as well as finding some ready-to-wear dresses for Lani to wear at his Beverly Hills boutique.
