Gian Magdangal joined Lea Salonga at 'Disney Legend Live in Concert' in Hong Kong Disneyland.
Filipina singer-songwriter Lara Maigue expresses love and support for her husband, Gian Magdangal.
In a joint Facebook post, the couple shared the magical moment of Gian joining Lea Salonga onstage for Hong Kong Disneyland's 20th anniversary event, Disney Legend Live in Concert.
The performance delighted audiences with a nostalgic duet of the Oscar-winning song “A Whole New World” from the film Aladdin.
"Thank you, Hong Kong Disneyland for this epic night! Happy 20 years. So so proud of my husband!! What a way to be back in HKDL," Lara wrote in the caption.
Fans quickly flooded the comments section, praising Gian's performance alongside the Disney legend. Many were also thrilled to see Lea tapping into her Disney journey once again.
The performance also marked Lea Salonga's return to a Disney stage. She's the first Filipina to have voiced a Disney Princess, famously lending her voice to Jasmine's singing parts in “A Whole New World” and to Mulan's “Reflection.”
Aside from those iconic songs, Lea serenaded fans with beloved Disney classics such as “Once Upon a Dream” (Sleeping Beauty), “When Will My Life Begin” (Tangled), “How Far I'll Go” (Moana), “Let It Go” (Frozen), and more.
Meanwhile, Gian Magdangal is a seasoned theater actor who has starred in major productions including Ang Huling El Bimbo Musical, Come From Away, Dear Evan Hansen, and I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change.
Gian and Lara Maigue tied the knot on October 8 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Muntinlupa City.
