Beauty queen and actress Lara Quigaman candidly shares a new chapter in her life online.
On Instagram, Lara posted a video revealing her naturally graying hair, with her roots already turning white.
Instead of continuing to color it, the Miss International 2005 titleholder decided it was finally time to embrace a new era of self-acceptance.
"Ilang taon ko tinago, tiniis, tinakpan… and I'm done. Pagod na ako. Ayoko na," she wrote in the captions.
"The first time I saw a white hair on my head, I was 12 years old. Since my early thirties, I have been dyeing my hair almost every two weeks just to cover the whites we got from our papa. You see, my papa already had almost fully white hair in his 30s. My brothers, my sister, and I all have a head full of whites and greys."
Lara shared that she is finally letting go of “perfection” and embracing the white hair that comes with age and genetics.
"So call me lola or grandma, it's okay… I'm going to try and rock this white hair," she added.
"I know it's not going to be easy because sometimes I look in the mirror and just want to cover it all up again. That's why I'm posting this now… to give myself courage…Will you help me? Maybe even join me on this journey?"
Followers quickly flooded the comment section with love and support for the beauty queen, including celebrities such as Camille Prats, Dimples Romana, Karen Ibasco, and Jennica Garcia.
Lara's post comes shortly after her Mother's Day tribute, dedicated to her mother and herself as a mom of three.
In June 2025, she earned her diploma in Early Childhood Education in Vancouver, Canada.
She is currently living abroad with her children and husband, Marco Alcaraz.
