Lee Victor was overjoyed during his proud moment hosting the Kapuso morning show Unang Hirit.
You're My Favorite Song star Lee Victor recently shared a wonderful and proud moment as he took on hosting duties for a segment on the Kapuso morning show Unang Hirit earlier, July 20.
In a Facebook post, Lee uploaded a photo marking his return to the long-running morning program, where he was seen wearing the show's signature blue uniform. He returned to the program to host a special field segment alongside Unang Hirit anchor Suzi Entrata-Abrera.
Together with the Philippine National Police, they visited a school in Malate to demonstrate critical safety drills to students on how to respond during an active threat, an increasingly relevant measure given recent safety concerns in schools.
The young Kapuso actor noted that this visit was completely different from his past appearances as a guest performer, as he officially stepped into the spotlight as a host this time around.
“Finally back sa Unang Hirit! This is a different segment from what I usually do. It's such an important topic - one I wish we never had to talk about: active threat drills (i.e., school shootings),” Lee wrote in the caption.
In another Facebook post, the young actor treated fans to a glimpse behind the scenes, uploading photos taken during the live broadcast.
In the said post, Lee emphasized the value of awareness and practical safety measures.
“Learned so much today about drills and safety protocols for when there's an active threat, although I hope we never have to use them. Thank you, Malate Catholic School,” he expressed.
Beyond the serious nature of the coverage, he also celebrated a personal highlight from the broadcast.
The young host crossed off a major item on his bucket list by working on remote duty alongside renowned TV host Suzi Entrata-Abrera for the first time.
“On a good note, it was my first time being with Ms. Suzi on remote… another item checked off my list,” Lee shared.
