Old favorites will given a new life in a Christmas musical special from GMA.

Enjoy local carols like Kumukutikutitap, Noche Buena and Simbang Gabi weaved within a touching and uniquely Filipino story about family, love and forgiveness.

In Himig ng Pasko, Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid is Bel, an OFW who recently returned home from Japan to reconnect with her estranged daughter Christiana—played by multi-platinum recording artist Julie Anne San Jose.

Bel's other Christmas wish is to revive her family's parol-making business. She also unexpectedly runs into her old high school flame, Joseph, played by Ariel Rivera.

Let Himig ng Pasko remind you of the integral role of music in uniting families while ushering in the spirit of Christmas.

The beautiful Rachel Alejandro also stars in the musical, as do Kapuso cutie Jeric Gonzalez and comedian Joey Paras.

Catch the first half of Himig ng Pasko, a two-part musical special on December 13, at 8:30 pm after Magpakailanman
