
The Letran Lady Knights clinched the NCAA Season 101 women's volleyball crown after defeating the Benilde Lady Blazers on Friday.
Letran took over the third game of the finals series in a five-set thriller, 15-25, 25-17, 26-24, 17-25, 15-12, to outlast Benilde and end their five-peat bid.
Letran's win is its first women's volleyball championship since Season 74.
Nicen Colendra was named player of the game with 21 attacks, one block, and one ace.
Letran's Judiel Nitura, meanwhile, was named this season's finals MVP. Nitura was also awarded Best Opposite Spiker for Season 101.
Letran's Lara Mae Silva was also awarded Best Libreo this season.
Letran took home the first game of the finals series, while Benilde clinched the second game, forcing a do-or-die third game on April 10.
