Listen to Liana Castillo's version of 'Una Ka' on 'Spotlight Music Sessions.'
The Clash season 5 Top 4 Liana Castillo shared her rendition of the song “Una Ka” when she performed on GMA's online music channel, Spotlight Music Sessions, on October 13.
The song was originally performed by The Clash season 1 finalist Mirriam Manalo and was released in 2019. Mirriam lost her singing voice when she gave birth to her daughter. However, after taking some rest and vocal therapy and training, she was able to bounce back and release her first single.
Liana, on the other hand, sees the song as one that is about deep love. During her Spotlight Music Sessions guesting, the former Clasher revealed that her inspiration when she sang the song was her family.
“Especially my mom and dad. Siyempre lagi silang nandiyaan, 'di ako mapag-iwanan, laging nakabantay, andiyaan, nakasuporta, laging tumutulong kaya sa kanila po nilalahad 'yung song,” she said.
She added, “Atsaka 'yung lyrics po ng kanta, bagay na bagay po in terms po of para po sa kanila.”
Liana then shared her experience in the reality singing competition and described it as “a huge roller coaster.”
“Kasi makikita po sa unang-unang round, talagang kabado po ako. Then nung patuloy na talaga, unti-unti ko nang nagagamay, unti-unti ko nang nilalaban talaga,” she said.
While Liana admitted that it was stressful because it was a competition, she also expressed how much she enjoyed the experience, especially her interaction with the other Clashers.
When asked who would she want to have a battle again among the other Clashers, Liana answered, “Actually 'yung top 4 po, gusto ko sila lahat makalaban, si Ate Mariel (Reyes), si Ate Arabelle (Dela Cruz), atsaka si Kuya Rex (Baculfo) po.”

She also revealed that if given a chance, her dream project in GMA is to sing a lot of OSTs (original soundtracks) for teleseryes and even act in one.
When asked what role would she like to play, “Mahirap po 'yan! Siguro po 'yung two-faced, kasi mahirap po 'yung ganun. 'Yung mabait po, 'yun pala hindi.”
However, Liana clarified that she wants to focus on her singing first and is currently going to workshops to improve her talent in singing, as well as dancing.
