Depending on what kind of music you like, here are a few songs that you can add to your Halloween playlist.

It seems unlikely that there will be any elaborate Halloween parties this year due to the ongoing pandemic.

However, we can still enjoy it from the comfort of our homes by watching scary movies or television shows.

We can even put on a spooky playlist to get in the mood for Halloween.

Here are a few songs which you can add to your Halloween playlist, depending on what kind of music you listen to.


1. For lovers of rock


"Sympathy for the Devil" is the opening track on The Rolling Stones' 1968 album 'Beggars Banquet.' The song is sung from the Devil's point of view as he boasts about his role in several historical atrocities.


2. For hip-hop enthusiasts


"A Nightmare on My Street" is from DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince's second studio album, 'He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper' which was released in 1998. The song tells the story of Freddy Kreuger from the 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' film series.


3. For millennials


"Bury a Friend" by Billie Eilish is an electropop song from her 2019 debut album 'When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?' According to the singer, the song is "from the perspective of the monster under my bed."


4. For K-pop fans


"Monster" is one of the songs from EXO's third studio album 'Ex'Act' which was released in 2016. The song talks about an obsessive kind of love.


5. For musicals nerds

"Time Warp" is one of the pivotal songs from the 1973 rock musical 'The Rocky Horror Show' as well as its 1975 film adaptation 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show.' Aside from the catchy lyrics, it also has a really fun choreography.


BONUS

Of course, no Halloween playlist is complete without the 1962 novelty song "Monster Mash" by Bobby "Boris" Pickett. The song speaks about strange happenings in a laboratory one night.
