While it's not a bad idea to indulge in classic ice cream flavors, you might want to make your summer this year a bit more exciting by exploring flavors you haven't tried before.

Below is GMA Lifestyle's list of unique ice cream flavors that you should try this summer.

Tilapia ice cream

This unique ice cream flavor was developed by the Central Luzon State University (CLSU) and bagged the Innovation Gold Award during the Salon International de L'Agroalimentaire (SIAL) ASEAN Manila back in 2016.

It is made with steamed Tilapia flakes from fresh, cultured Tilapia, and also contains buffalo's milk and walnuts.

Lechon ice cream

We bet you've tried the classic, crispy lechon many times in your lifetime, and even lechon paksiw. But you probably haven't tried lechon ice cream. Yes, it does exist!

A lechon house in Davao City called Azon's Boneless Lechon offers this one-of-a-kind ice cream flavor.

Green mango ice cream

Green mangoes are in season during the summer and it's best paired with bagoong. What if we tell you that there's a green mango ice cream flavor and it comes with sweet bagoong?

Yes, better believe it. It does exist and it's manufactured by Sebastian's Ice Cream.

Buffalo wings ice cream

If you're a sucker for buffalo wings, then you definitely must try Frankie's and The Lost Bread's collaboration dessert.

The buffalo wings flavored ice cream is available in pint size for P349 and solo size for P129.

Taho ice cream

If you love having a warm cup of taho in the morning, you'll likely enjoy it too as an ice cream flavor.

The Sexy Chef has an ice cream line called Crave that includes Tasty Taho, which is a vegan ice cream flavor made with silken soy, organic coconut syrup, and sago.
