Liz Uy Raymond Racaza with Xavi

In a piece she wrote for a lifestyle website, celebrity stylist Liz Uy shared the latest milestone in her life--her second pregnancy--and the struggles that come with it.

The year 2020 may be a tough one for some but for celebrity stylist Liz Uy, it is a year of blessings as she revealed that she's pregnant with her second child with her now-husband, businessman Raymond Racaza.

This is according to a piece she wrote for The Philippine Star on Sunday, December 20.

Pregnancy is an exciting phase in every woman's life but just like any other moms, Liz admitted that she had anxieties because she's dealing with the same sickness-- Hyperemesis Gravidarum or extreme nausea and vomiting--that accompanied her first pregnancy with Xavi.

She detailed, "I was throwing up countless times a day. I tried to take as much water as I could, but my body just wouldn't let me. Orange juice was hard to drink. Ginger wasn't working either. Days would start and end with vomiting. Food, no matter how appetizing, only made me sick. I would have the hardest time focusing [on] and engaging with people.

"It had gotten so bad that my weight started to drop, which was worrisome because of the baby. Often, friends and social media followers comment on how lucky I am not to be putting on a pound, but luck had nothing to do with it."

Pregnant at the time of COVID-19, Liz can't help but worry about her current pregnancy.

She shared, "I worked less and enjoyed so little of what was going on around me. I was so anxious that I nearly -- very nearly -- missed out on what the lockdown has blessed me with: the joy of seeing Xavi light up the room with just one smile, or the mischievous twinkle in his eye when he is up to something, or how he manages to wipe away every tear with just one hug."

Instead of constant worrying, Liz learned to get back on her feet and do the things that would benefit her and her coming baby.

She wrote, "My second pregnancy also serves as a reminder that the often said 'This too shall pass' adage is particularly true for women who go through a rollercoaster of highs and lows just to survive their first trimester.

"What I learned along the way may seem a given, but it is nonetheless true. Love your body.

"Since then, I have slowly gotten back to working out. I discovered that Pilates is good for me. I've been easing back into work as well, overseeing my team at Stylized Studio and Mood. I started talking to friends and family again. I spend more time with my boys, Xavi and Raymond."

Liz and Raymond welcomed their first child, Xavi, in September 2017.

Three years after, the celebrity stylist announced her engagement to Raymond.

Raymond was previously married to physician Dr. Geraldine Zamora with whom he has a daughter.
