Actress Liza Soberano could not help but express her confusion after netizens started apologizing to her on social media about her previous remarks on being part of a loveteam after the issue recently resurfaced.

“Why are people saying sorry to me? I'm so confused…” Liza wrote on X (former Twitter).

Netizens responded, saying that they cancelled her when she made that remark, only for the actress to be correct all along.

“Well, thank you, I guess hehe. I never really got to expound on why I personally think it's 'dangerous' to be in a love team, so it makes sense people got offended. They didn't fully understand where I was coming from...” Liza responded.

In another post, the actress shared that she's even more confused because while she knows it's about loveteams, she was unsure which one the netizens are concerned about.

Netizens clarified that it was the loveteam of Will Ashley and Binaca de Vera, also known as WilCa, when it was rumored that they were dating other people.

Liza made waves in 2023 when she talked about the reality of being in a loveteam in the Philippines.

“The thing is, in the beginning of your love team too, you're not allowed to say that you are dating because you want to keep the fans kind of hungry for you guys to actually be dating. It helps with the projects because they are always excited,” Liza said.

She also shared that during interviews, they would often get asked whether the loveteam partners are in a real relationship together already, adding that the line between career and personal life gets blurred.

“People just don't know what reality is. In the Philippines, the only way to become a big star really -- if you're not a singer, if you're an actor -- is to be in a love team,” Liza said.
