Kapuso actress LJ Reyes asks her son Aki, “What does enhanced community quarantine mean?”

Actress LJ Reyes sat down with her son Aki on Instagram yesterday evening to talk about the ongoing crisis surrounding the coronavirus pandemic

She asked, “What does enhanced community quarantine mean?”

To which Aki confidently answered, “It means lockdown.”

“You're not allowed to go out of your house or anything because of COVID-19.”

LJ also quizzed her son's knowledge about the coronavirus and what he's learned after a week-long online session in his school.

Aki answered, “It is a virus, it has crowns that make it tougher [than most common viruses]. If you get it you'll get cough, fever, sickness, and have difficulty breathing or shortness of breath.

“We're not allowed to go out. Because if we do, we will just keep on infecting each other and the number of [COVID-19] cases will just go higher and higher --- more people can die.”

To prevent the spread of the virus, Aki advised his mom's fans to “wash your hands with soap and water, use alcohol, and disinfect objects that you often use.”

They also ended the video by thanking the frontliners who are helping combat the said virus.

It's been more than a week since community quarantine has been imposed throughout Metro Manila. Since then, there has been a lot of changes with the government's order. Pero ang hindi nagbago ay yung takot at pagaalala ng lahat sa buong mundo. Takot sa sakit at pagaalala sa kinabukasan ng lahat. In times like this, you realize how fleeting life is! This beautiful gift can be easily taken away. But at the same time, you become more grateful for even the smallest thing. Breath. Shelter. Food. I know that a lot of us can never express in words how truly thankful we are to all the frontliners! Ang tatapang nyo! Salamat sa lahat lahat ng sakripisyo ninyo. Pinagdadasal namin kayo! Ang dasal ko kahit pa noon ay wag sanang maranasan ng mga anak ko ang kahit na anong trahedya at kalamidad. But after having this impromptu conversation with him last week as he was completing school requirements, I felt grateful that he is informed and aware of what is happening in the world. I am continuously guiding him in comprehending this pandemic and its effects to many if not all stakeholders. We plan to teach Aki (and Summer next time) all there is to learn from this pandemic! Will share our quarantine homeschooling schedule and lessons soon! For the mean time, stay safe my brothers and sisters! Praying for the whole world! WATCH THE FULL VIDEO ON IGTV! #gratefulmondays

In the Instagram post, LJ Reyes couldn't help but reflect on how she's feeling anxious lately amid the news of the rising cases of confirmed patients with COVID-19.

However, she felt a bit of ease knowing that her son is very much well-informed with what's happening in the whole world.

She wrote, “After having this impromptu conversation with him last week as he was completing school requirements, I felt grateful that he is informed and aware of what is happening in the world.

“I am continuously guiding him in comprehending this pandemic and its effects to many if not all stakeholders.

“We plan to teach Aki (and Summer next time) all there is to learn from this pandemic!

“In the meantime, stay safe my brothers and sisters! Praying for the whole world!”
