Entertainment columnist and talent manager Lolit Solis got a big health scare at the start of the year when she felt she had a mild stroke right after her dialysis.
In an Instagram post on January 4, Manay Lolit said that she had the “big scare in my life” the day before, January 3, when the right side of her body stiffened suddenly right after her dialysis session.
“Feeling ko nagkaruon ako ng mild stroke. Biglang after my dialysis session, nanigas ang right side ng body ko , at nag slur ako sa pagsasalita,” Lolit said.
She added that she did not know what happened to her and that her mind “passed out” during the moment, but expressed her thanks that it only took five minutes to recover and get back to normal.
“Pero decided na ako to see my doctor at magpa labtest. Medyo natakot ako dahil first time ko talaga naranasan iyon at very scary talaga,” she added.
Lolit first revealed that she's been going to dialysis sessions twice a week back in August and mentioned how she needs to undergo dialysis for the rest of her life, according to her doctors.
In September, the entertainment columnist revealed that her sessions might increase from two to three times a week if her condition does not improve, but assured everyone that she's still in “fighting form” and can still do her job.
“I can still write, negotiate, make deals. Sabi ko nga nasa fighting form pa ako at hindi puwede basta i-bypassed ng kahit sino,” she said.
With the recent scare, however, Lolit questioned the need for dialysis if one will still pass away during a recent dialysis session.
“Parang nagtanong pa ako sa sarili ko, bakit kailangan pang mag dialysis eh mamamatay ka rin pala,” she said.
Despite this, the talent manager was still grateful that she reached the year 2023.
“At least, inabot pa natin ang 2023. Buhay na buhay, kaya bongga parin,” she ended her post.
