As soon as Jolina Magdangal sat down with the press last July 4 for the first general press conference of the horror flick Ouija, she was barraged with questions about her wedding plans to Bebong Muñoz. Her boyfriend of six years ran during the last elections as congressman for the second district of Caloocan City. Unfortunately, Jolina's boyfriend, who was an independent candidate, lost his bid. Reporters reminded her of what she declared before the elections—that win or lose, her wedding with Bebong will take place. Jolina clarified, "Ang sabi ko noon, win or lose, tuloy ang plano." When asked to give some details about their wedding plans, she opts to withhold information from the media. "Kasi parang feeling ko, parang masyado nang natatanong palagi. And mahirap! Kasi personal na 'yun, e. Hindi na siya parang movie lang na [maitatanong mo kung] ‘Tuloy ba 'yung movie o hindi?' Kumbaga ito, involved na ang mga feelings ng mga tao. So kung palaging pinag-uusapan...hindi ba nakakasawa na rin na 'yun lagi ang sagot ko na, ‘Ang hirap magplano.' "Hindi rin namin ma-start [ang preparations] kasi meron pang mga dapat unahin sa bawat isa. Sabi ko dati, win or lose, itutuloy namin ang plano pero everyday may nadi-discover kang mga bagay na dapat mong isipin muna bago ka mag-jump sa..." Will the wedding take place this year or next year? Jolina says, "No comment." "Hindi pa talaga kami nakakapagplano. May mga bagay pa na inu-una." Did the results of the elections affect this delay in the wedding preparations? "Siguro may mga bagay lang na...Kailangan mong isipin what's after the elections. Noong time na 'yun kasi, parang hindi namin masyadong napag-usapan kung ano ang mangyayari. Ang mainam sa nangyari na hindi siya nanalo sa elections, bukas ang loob namin na ganun ang nangyari. "Hindi kami down na down. Kung ano 'yung binigay sa amin, 'yun na talaga siguro, e." Will Bebong return to the US? "Ngayon, 'yun 'yung pinagdidiskusyunan namin. In fairness naman kay Bebong, hangga't maayos niya dito sa Pilipinas, aayusin niya dito sa Pilipinas. "Open [ang possibility na babalik siya]. Hindi naman namin sinarado 'yung pintuan na 'yun. Besides, 'yung visa niya, open pa rin, pati 'yung working visa niya. Will you be willing to follow him to the US if he goes there? "'Yun 'yung mga dapat pag-usapan kasi siyempre may work ako dito. May mga regular shows pa rin akong ginagawa dito." Jolina has just finished hosting the reality talent search StarStruck for GMA-7. "'Yung pagbalik niya rito, malaking sacrifice na ‘yon para sa akin. Halimbawa lang, kailangan niyang bumalik doon, hindi na ako magpapahintay pa." Will you be willing to settle in the US? "Kung serious ka na gusto mong magkapamilya, pwedeng dito, pwedeng doon. Ino-open ko lang ang sarili ko.
