Christian Bautista

Romantic balladeer Christian Bautista sang a duet on a chroma key background with popular Indonesian singer, Raisa, at a wedding reception in Jakarta.

Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista successfully pulled off a surprise performance for a wedding abroad amid the pandemic.

The Kapuso singer was invited to perform at a grand wedding in Jakarta, Indonesia last Friday, December 17, but had to cancel it due to travel restrictions and conflict in schedule.

Fortunately, the groom and close friend of Christian, Indonesian concert promoter David Ananda, thought of a brilliant idea to still have him in his wedding through a virtual performance as a surprise to his bride, Cynthia.

The original plan was for Christian to sing a duet of "We Could Be In Love" with popular Indonesian singer, Raisa, at the reception.

However, after exhausting all possibilities for the Filipino artist to arrive on time for the wedding reception, David requested Christian instead to video record his part of the duet in full view of himself on chroma.

The result? It was a magical moment that not only surprised the bride but the entire wedding reception.

Meanwhile, Christian is set to star in Paskong Parangap, the GMA Christmas special airing on December 25, 2021.

The TV special also features his fellow The Clash judges Aiai Delas Alas and Lani Misalucha, the show's Clash Masters Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver and journey hosts Ken Chan and Rita Daniela, and past Clashers including The Clash's newest grand champion Mariane Osabel.

Christian can also be seen on GMA weekly variety show All-Out Sundays where he is a mainstay.
