Ayon sa ulat, namatay ang stand-up comedian dahil sa pulmonary edema at heart attack.
Isa sa mga celebrity na nagbigay ng tribute kay Chokoleit ang veteran OPM singer na si Pops Fernandez.
Sa isang Instagram post, ibinahagi niya ang huling pinag-usapan nila ng comedian bago ito mag-perform.
Kuwento ni Pops, “This photo was taken right before Chokoleit's performance in abra. I asked him how he was doing since I haven't seen him in a long time. His reply, 'I am doing very well. I'm in a good place. Nakaipon na po ako.' I told him how happy I am for him.......... I am still in shock. Chokoleit, thank you for the laughter. You made the people laugh one last time.
