Included in the exhibit are miniature versions of recent and reigning queens like Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo-Wurtzbach, and a few iconic costumes and gowns worn by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.

Aside from the miniature gowns, a few designers have also showcased their talent and creativity by creating one-of-a-kind Filipiniana gowns made from both indigenous and recycled materials.

“TALA” : My Second Collaboration with Barbie after 10years. This time for the celebration of Philippine Independence Day. For this collection I reimagined the Philippine Terno & Barong Tagalog on the Goddess Tala, popularly known as the Goddess of the Stars in tagalog mythology. Giving it a fresh, edgy, gladiator, rockstar, warrior goddess look. Exhibit opens tomorrow June 3 at the SM North Edsa, formal opening will be on June 5 3pm. I would like to thank doll hobbyist assigned to Me, Arvy Labrador @soy_arvylabrador for assisting me in sewing the outfits and giving in to my crazy ideas & thank you @smsupermalls & @barbie PH for this collaboration 😘♥️✌🏼🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 #BarbiePhilippines #philippineindependenceday #SMSuperMalls #barbieph #Rockstar #gladiator #goddess #warrior #filipina #design #pinoymythology #terno #philippineterno #barongtagalog #barbie #collaboration #pinay #pinaybarbie #manila #philippines
