Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi surprised their twins, Cassy and Mavy, with a birthday salubong at home.
Cassy and Mavy were born on January 6, 2001.
The actress posted a video and photos on Instagram showing the twins, each holding a cake and smiling at the camera.
But before that, the family did a countdown a minute before midnight while singing "Happy Birthday" to the showbiz twins, who turned 20.
“Happy Happy Birthday to our super twins,” Carmina wrote on Instagram.
She also said, “Best birthday gift ever! Thank you so much GOD!”
The actress's followers send out their greetings to Cassy and Mavy as well.
Some fans amusingly took notice of Korean actor Nam Joo-Hyuk's image on the family's TV screen. The paused scene is from the popular K-drama Start-Up on Netflix.
“Kdrama is life… Happy Birthday twins,” wrote one follower, while another posted, “Ung Start-Up talaga nagdala. Hahaha. Happy birthday lovely twin.”
Zoren likewise took to Instagram to express his greetings and love to the twins.
He called Cassy the “best daughter” and Mavy the “best son,” then writing “God's greatest gift to us.”
Cassy and Mavy are both under GMA Artist Center.
The twins signed with the network in 2018 and are seen in the shows Sarap, 'Di Ba?, Road Trip, All-Out Sundays, and Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit, among others.
Mavy is also part of the upcoming youth comedy-gag-variety show Flex to be aired on GMA News TV.
Cassy will soon be seen on GMA-7's romantic primetime series First Yaya starring Sanya Lopez and Gabby Concepcion.
“I'm watching Filipino movies and shows as well as reading old script. I'm feeling super excited and nervous at the same time since this is my first drama show and of course because of the adjustments I have to make due to COVID,” said Cassy during a virtual press conference held in October last year.
“Right now, I'm focused on my own work and how to portray my character properly kasi next month na ang taping. It's challenging because parang mag-boarding school ako,” she added, referring to the lock-in taping.
“I think I'm more nervous because I'm on my own din. Thankfully, my parents are helping to prepare me. My dad gives advice on the technical side of acting while my mom shares her experiences working when she was my age and answers all of my questions.”
