What's the connection between the Black Swan theory and Dingdong Dantes's grad speech at the City of Malabon University? Read on.

Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes used a Sid & Aya reference during a graduation speech he made in City of Malabon University.

On Instagram, Dingdong stated how embracing our “black swans” can help us continue living up to the challenge of being responsible citizens. The Black Swan theory is a metaphor for unexpected happenings that lead to big effects.

In this morning’s 23rd Commencement Exercises of the City of Malabon University, i couldn’t help but use the Black Swan theory (salamat sa inspiration, Direk @ayrin) of Taleb and relate it with the next exciting chapter of these graduates' lives— a journey which will be filled with not only adventure but also uncertainties. Pero sa pag-akap nila ng mga “black swans” o “rare events” na darating, i also hope that they continue to live up to the challenge of becoming responsible citizens, who have aspirations that are greater than one's self.

Dingdong attended the City of Malabon University's 23rd Commencement Exercises as its guest of honor.

“Graduation means going beyond the four corners of your classroom or of your campus, and wholeheartedly embracing your roles as responsible citizens of this country, as you enter the workforce and find your respective niches.” Chairman @dongdantes as a Guest of Honor at City of Malabon University’s 23rd Commencement Exercises. Congratulations to all the graduates of CMU!
